Melksham Lions would like to thank all of you who supported us so generously in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
With your support we raised just under £2000 for our welfare account which will be used in supporting the local community.
We wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year
Melksham Lions got together last night for their Christmas Dinner at the Rising Sun, Lacock.

On Saturday 3rd December Melksham Lions attended the annual Melksham Christmas Fayre held in the Assembly hall, prior to the switch on of the Christmas Lights. As can be seen in one of our photo’s the event was well attended.
We ran our usual Lions Tombola stall and received great support from those that visited. There were winners – quite a lot in fact – pictured is one of those that won.
We would like to thank all who supported us at this event. All money raised will be going towards worthwhile causes in our local area.
Each Christmas The Trussell Trust takes thousands of shoe boxes filled with presents to some of the poorest people in Eastern Europe.
People of all ages receive boxes, ranging from Roma people living in freezing conditions and struggling to survive, to abandoned and orphaned children living in state care.
In what has now become an annual event for Melksham Lions, Lions Joan and Peter Dauncey took shoe boxes donated by our members to Salisbury for distribution by the Trust.
In addition to the shoe boxes, a total of £120 was donated on behalf of the Melksham Lions club by Joan Dauncey to Richard Parsons Overseas Co-Ordinator for the Trussell Trust.
