25th April 2015, and another fantastic night with The Maesteg Choir! This very popular evening proved no less of a great night out than previous years; and Côr Meibion Maesteg a’r Cylch (The Maesteg Male Voice Choir from South Wales) were joined by the contemporary vocal group Take Note who made the night even more of one ot remember.
The capacity crowd enjoyed an excellent evening of music performed by both the choir and Take Note in a formal programme, which was then followed by the now traditional informal sing-along until late. The ‘second half’ is a hugely popular ‘extra’ where – in between their own spontaneous bursts of song – requests can be made of the choir, who have by then relaxed from their jackets to present an altogether different social sing-along experience. With the evening drawing to a close at about 11 o’clock, it was no surprise that most guests were still singing as they made their way to the doors. What a night!

We were very pleased too, on the night, to be able to present donations to some of our worthy beneficiaries, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, our local Air Cadet Corp and the fundraising efforts of those who look after the Melksham Christmas Lights.
