Meet Melksham is a community showcase organised by Melksham Town Council, bringing together a wide range of local clubs, societies, charities, and community groups under one roof. The event is designed to help residents discover what’s happening in the town, find new interests, and connect with organisations they may wish to join or support.

Set out in a marketplace-style format, groups host information tables where visitors can chat, ask questions, and learn more about the activities and opportunities available locally. It’s a great chance to see the variety of community life in Melksham and to meet the people behind it.

The Melksham Lions Club will be attending and look forward to meeting visitors on the day.

This event is completely free to watch, or to enter, but donations would be very gratefully received, to help them continue to bring you this marvellous family event.

The Seend Summer Fete is a charming celebration of English tradition, offering a fun-filled day out for the whole family! Held annually on the Lye Recreation Field, this classic summer event brings the community together with lively activities, entertainment, and plenty of quintessentially British charm. The picturesque field, along with its welcoming Pavilion, is lovingly owned and maintained by the local community, making it the perfect setting for this much-loved event. From stalls and games to delicious treats and cheerful festivities, the Seend Summer Fete is a wonderful way to enjoy the best of summer in a true village atmosphere.

Registration is 9.30am with the events start at 10.30am

Hosted by the Chippenham Lions, who are looking forward to this annual event and they are delighted to say that this year they have reached their capacity for athletes and had to ‘close the books’.  Good luck to those who have signed up.

The Melksham Lions are very proud to be supporting the Air Ambulance Fun Day with a stall.

Visitors will enjoy prime views of the helipad and helicopter — that alone is worth the visit!

But wait, there's more! The afternoon is packed with fun activities, from bouncy attractions and climbing walls to assault courses and giant games for all the family.

Food stalls will be on hand providing delicious hot food, tasty treats, and both hot and cold drinks.

Alongside the Lions stall, there will be plenty more to browse and explore.

Entry is just £5 per adult and £2 per child.
