MELKSHAM CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2016

On Saturday 3rd December Melksham Lions attended the annual Melksham Christmas Fayre held in the Assembly hall, prior to the switch on of the Christmas Lights. As can be seen in one of our photo’s the event was well attended.

We ran our usual Lions Tombola stall and received great support from those that visited. There were winners – quite a lot in fact – pictured is one of those that won.

We would like to thank all who supported us at this event. All money raised will be going towards worthwhile causes in our local area.

Seend Fete

Melksham Lions attended the SEEND Fete yesterday in glorious sunshine.

We again had the Lions Tombola going with several lucky winners. In fact the very first ticket of the day won one of the large Lions.

We also took the opportunity to sell some of the Bric-a-brac/CD’s and DVD’s that had been recently donated to us.

You may recall that we have been selling Raffle tickets over the past few weeks, at the Party in the Park,  the Forest Community Fun Day and finally the Seend Fete for a handmade patchwork quilt that was made by our Treasurer Ruth Mead.

At the close of the Seend Fete we got the Seend Fete admin team to make the draw and announce the winning ticket. Ticket number was 38 and was won by Mrs Jane Lee of Poulshot. Mrs Lee is pictured above with Ruth Mead when she came to collect the Quilt later in the day.

We would like to thank all those who supported us on the day.

Forest Community Fun Day 2016

Forest Fun Day 2016_edited-1

Melksham Lions attended the Forest Community Fun Day yesterday where we ran a Lion Tombola Stall and a book stall.

We were also selling raffle tickets for a rather lovely Handmade Patchwork Quilt, made by one of our members.

The draw for this will be made after the Seend Fete which we will be attending on the 13th August.

We would like to thank all those who supported us on the day which proved to be a great success for us and the Forest Community.
