WHY NOT JOIN US? NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME
We are a small club and new members are always welcome. Even if you feel you can only offer a small amount of time or resource, you will be very welcome. Many hands make light work, and a lot more fun. Please get in touch!
'Fun?' we hear you ask... Yes! We looked it up and it seems we do (it's official) have quite a lot of it.

Melksham Lions Christmas Float made its way around the town again this year. All donations were (and are) gratefully received and will go towards helping those that need it in our community. Your support is hugely appreciated.

Stephany Bardzil of Alzheimers Support gave us an extremely interesting and informative insight into the often debilitating condition of Alzheimers and other dementias. We also learned how Alzheimers Support work to help those suffering - and those supporting sufferers - to cope with the condition.
Alzheimers Support don't just work with indiviuals, but also with groups. They are even embarking on sessions using song as therapy, which has proven to work wonders for dementia and stroke sufferers nationwide. It was a great revelation in many ways to hear what Stephany had to say, and a great comfort to know that such an organisation exists to provide so much help to those suffering from these conditions. If you would like more information about Alzheimers and other dementias, and the support offered by Alzheimers Support, please visit their website: www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk (or telephone 01225 776481).
FEBRUARY 2nd (Tuesday)
Our usual gathering, only this time we were pleased to welcome two Frome Lions - Lion Dave Allan and Lion Mike Geake - who had found us via this very website and asked to come along. Always nice to see some new faces, and all are welcome to return. So, how about YOU coming along to our next meeting then?
JANUARY 26th (Tuesday)
HOT NEWS! Volcanoes and earthquakes in Melksham! Another fascinating insight by Mr Lothar Respondek; this time a talk on volcanoes and earthquakes. The evening was well attended; most of our members came along with their partners, and we were pleased to welcome an esteemed member of the local WI. We hope more talks will be arranged in the future and we urge you to spread the word!
